The Holley Police Department has completed its 2009 stats. The calls for service for December 2009 were 516 calls for service. This is down from November which showed 577 calls for service. The total calls for service for 2009 was 8,836 calls for service. For a village of 1 square mile this number is substantial. This call for service number shows that the Holley Police Department is needed in the village and that crime does occur in the village. At the present time our staffing numbers are looking to improve and we are currently looking into three new hires. This would bring our total number up to 12 officers. 

Police have been very busy in the village and with more and more calls coming from the school district I feel that adding three more officers will off set our current work load. A few call number we can try to improve on are listed below.

911 hang-up calls- 30, Burglary complaints-36, Drug and Alcohol calls-33, I feel we can lower these numbers by more presence in the neighborhoods. This is only one goal I have set for the upcoming year. Community policing will help us help you and make you feel safer in and around the village.
